We boarded the Rocky Mountaineer at the Jasper train depot and departed shortly after 7 this morning, taking the train’s scenic Fraser Discovery route.  The staff on board the Rocky Mountaineer is first-class, taking care of our every need.  After a full day on the rails, we rolled into Quesnel for the night.  Many of us will be watching the LSU/Washington football game.  This first leg of the train trip contained canyons and ranchlands of British Columbia, but the most spectacular scenery is to come tomorrow as re-board and head south to Whistler, site of the outdoor events for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
